Best Park City Venues on Main Street for your Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party

If you’re looking for a magical destination wedding location and you’re considering Park City, Utah… you’re on the right track. It’s so convenient for guests who live all across the nation AND it’s quick to get to the resorts from the airport (especially in comparison to other mountain destinations!). Additionally, real luxury can be found in this charming mountain town.

A top topic of conversation when deciding if a Park City wedding can be your reality is: What are the options for a great Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party???

Below is a list of my top suggestions and most popular options to check out. PS., the food at all of these places is delish. They wouldn’t be on my list otherwise ;)

Riverhorse on Main

One of the most popular locations for a Park City Rehearsal Dinner or Welcome Party (or both!), Riverhorse on Main is situated right on Main Street. Guests enter on street level and head up the stairs, arriving in a totally chic and gorgeous space. There is a few ways to use the space as they have one side room that sits up to about 50, called the Chef’s Room. They also have a Main Dining Room, called the Atrium, with a balcony that overlooks Main Street. The Atrium’s capacity is 140 for a seated dinner.

The most popular way to use this space is to do a buyout, host the Rehearsal dinner from 5-8 for select guests, and then the Welcome Party for all the wedding guest from 8-11.

You could also do a Rehearsal Dinner just in the Chef’s Room or just rent the whole space and invite everyone for a whole evening of fun.

Pinecone Ridge

Pinecone Ridge might be one of the newest hot spots to arrive on Park City’s Main Street and the interior is gorgeous. It’s super fresh and modern and is a little bit mountain chic, little bit sexy hotel bar.

Capacity for Pinecone Ridge is 175 for a seated dinner and 200 for mix and mingle style (referred to as “Reception”).

They do require clients pay for furniture removal when doing a buyout. We can dive deeper into this and discuss what will be needed for your exact event. PS, this is another location with a great balcony overlooking Main Street.

High West Saloon: The Livery

Possibly one of the most famous spots in Park City, High West is one street over from Main, located on Park Ave.

It’s easily one of the most charming inside and out and is the place to host your prewedding festivities if you’re looking for authentic mountain town vibes. Home of the fab High West Whiskey, you can really lean into the cocktail experience here including hosting a whiskey tasting station.

Capacity here is a max of 150, and because of their liquor license it’s adults only. While the space is a great foundation for a real western themed party, you don’t need much here. They have a fab outdoor space, with firepits and and seating … and the inside is full of mountain west character.
Just add some wildflowers and don’t forget your cowboy hat.

The Spur

We love a FUN location right on Main Street, and The Spur is one of my favorite options if you’re looking for something a little more casual but with a vibe. It’s one of the best bars in town and the recently updated street facing space is a great spot for a casual mix n mingle style gathering. They have another space in the back, that is the original bar and definitely has western bar vibes. I love both, it just depends on what your heart desires.

Capacity is around 120 depending on how you’re using the space (the back bar can fit around 200) I wrote more specifically about The Spur on this blog when the space update was fresh.

No Name Saloon

Park City staple and must visit, No Name Saloon is always a favorite for some real mountain west fun. If you aren’t inviting kids, this is a great place to kick off your weekend with some cowboy style. It’s a bar, and is honestly pretty turn key. The main bar on the ground level will stay operational to the public, but you can rent out one or both sides of the upstairs bar. The upstairs spaces do have balconies, equipped with heaters.

Capacity for each side is 125, so you could rent out the whole top floor and invite your favorite 250 friends and have a great night. The vibe is exactly what you’d hope a western saloon would be. A little edgy, a lot FUN.

Town Lift Bridge

This option holds a special place in my heart because it is just so quintessentially Park City. The location is a dream and you’re literally surrounded by PC. If you are lucky and the weather is perfect, it’s the most utterly magical downtown Park City experience. BUT because there’s not really a simple and built in weather back up, it’s pretty risky to do without a tent. If you’re open to a tent, we can definitely discuss bringing out one of the pretty clear top tents with the wood frames that will fit right in. The food at the Bridge Cafe is just fantastic.

Capacity on the Bridge is pretty large, honestly you could probably have a welcome party here for 300 and be perfectly comfortable.

Kimball Terrace

This venue is one of those sneaky good venues. You’d never guess that such a perfect blank canvas venue is sitting above the retail shops on Main Street but, alas. Kimball Terrace is an empty space, meant to be customized to whatever the client wants. Serviced by the incredible local caterer, Culinary Crafts, this space has a large wide open inside space as well as a super rad rooftop space (known as the Terrace). The inside space (known as the Main Hall) has a convenient wrap around balcony that’s just wide enough for a highboy table and a secret conversation. If you’re looking for a space where we can control every bit of the experience including the aesthetic and food, this is the place.

Capacity: Main Hall - Capacity of 175-200 seated or 300 reception style. Terrace- 100 seated or 150 reception

Worth Mentioning:

350 Main

Ground Level Restaurant. You can rent out the whole place, just the Main Dining Room or the Terrace Room. Children are allowed here.

Capacity: Main Dining Room: 150 Seated or 250 Reception Style. Terrace Room: 50 Seated or 80 Reception Style.

Handle

Super chic vibes, modern decor. Very craft cocktails.

Capacity: Bar Area-40 seated or 60 Reception Style. Main Dining Room: 105. They have a Private Dining Room called the Green Room, which can accommodate up to max 20 seated.

Star Bar

Another recent add to Park City’s Main Street scene, Star Bar is a fun and chic environment that on it’s own is great for a mix + mingle experience - therefore perfect for Welcome Parties! It is a bar, so no kids please. It’s located at the top of Main Street and has a really modern mountain feel. It has two levels that you can buy out so it could be a great option for a larger group if you’re ok with the upstairs / downstairs combo.

Capacity: 120 per level, 2 levels.

Firewood

This place is a cozy mountain hideaway that has amazing food. They have a few different options for private parties, but if you’re looking for intimate mixed with comfort food, you’ll find it here.

Capacity: Aspen Grove Room- 60 seated or 150 reception. Oak Room: 22 Seated. Chef’s Library: 8 seated. You can also do a full buyout and get all the spaces all to yourselves.

You can also rent their underground spaces and take your party to a new level: Birch Bar: 10 at bar and additional 20 seated. Hickory Room: 60 seated or 130 reception

If you’re already planning or are considering a wedding in Park City and have questions on what would be a perfect fit for your Rehearsal Dinner or Welcome Party, send me a message! I’m always happy to help!
