Garden Vibes + Romance for a Wedding in St. Louis

I recently had the absolute honor to create a wedding weekend for a client family who has grown dear to my heart and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to bring the talent of our creative team to St. Louis, Missouri. A few years ago, I planned and produced the wedding of one of their other daughters in Park City, and when the next daughter was engaged I was so lucky to be called to create magic again, this time to their hometown of St. Louis. They chose to do the wedding at the Westwood Country Club, which is where the family has so many special memories including the parents having their own wedding celebration there many years ago! The daughters had many milestone moments here and so it was absolutely fitting that the last wedding of the family be held here. The grounds of the Country Club are absolutely gorgeous, and even though it’s technically in St. Louis, you feel as though you’ve possibly been transported to the English Countryside. It truly was the perfect place for them to have their wedding.

The way the logistics and weather planning worked out, meant that the best option was to transform the portcochere of the club and turn it into a dreamy ceremony location. We also had some serious work to update the vibe of the ballroom to meet the hopes and dreams of our Dear Bride, but I had a vision and just the right team of creatives and knew we could make this space something special.

Before and After of the Ceremony Space. You would never guess from the photos that this was in the driveway of the Country Club.

A few fun facts:

-We had about 200 guests, and the couple really wanted to focus on the fun, so they opted to skip a plated dinner and went with a strolling reception. We filled the space with fun customized food action stations and a variety of seating so that there was something for everyone who needed a break from dancing.

-We went with Stratosphere, an absolutely amazing band from the Jordan Kahn Orchestra lineup and it was wildly fun. They kept the music going the whole night and the dance floor was almost never emptry. HIGHLY recommend! (Ps, this was also the band for Derek Hough’s wedding so there’s an extra gold star for this choice!)

-The Bride wanted to be comfortable and able to dance her heart out so she chose some totally cute satin Louboutin sneaks for her wedding day shoes and then suprised her dad with a matching pair to wear too. SO CUTE!

-They have the most adorable pup and we incorporated their love for him throughout the wedding including a custom artwork of his cute face on the dancefloor. Cooper, you’re a lucky doggo!
